Description:
Yahan is a Krranshi outcast,
both for his being an assassin and sword for
hire, which are spurned by his fellows due to the strict Krranshi code of honor
as well as his denouncing of the Krranshi code of honor.
Though he is not
at all very tall for a Krranshi, he is still taller than most humans, at
6'2" and is also light for his species at 159 lbs. His fur is also completely black, however this is not a rare occurrence among
Krranshi. His looks are average and nothing special, but not bad.
He
tends to be rather quiet and brooding, due his rather rough childhood, and
but is also very dependable, if a bit chaotic. He is rebellious but still
has a bit of the Krranshi honor with him, though not enough to get in the way
of his job most of the time. He prefers to keep a few strong and loyal
friends to having many of them.
His
weapons are the twin short blades Konton and Eiyo. They are both forged of
Krranshi Mithril Silver and are the length of short swords but have a
curve on the blades, this makes them useful wielding as either normal
short swords and as long daggers. Both are enchanted to keep their
sharpness and resist normal wear and tear. He received these as gifts
from his father, as the blades are family heirlooms.
Yahan also has minor magical abilities, appearing as either spells that
enhance his speed and stealth or as weak freezing and lighting spells.
Though he heals quicker than most, he has never learned curative magic.
His path of magic, the Krranshi version of Hermetic Mages, only requires
that he meditate and pray to the Krranshi God of magic; Sima'thor.
History:
As
a child Yahan was raised to be a Krranshi elite and was trained as such.
As elite were required to learn at least minor magics, the magic path
Krranshi called Nrrisa'Sima'thor was his chosen path of magic and he
enjoyed working with that path. When he was finally of age to join the
Krranshi military, at the young age of 13, he was taught the art of war in
the purest of Krranshi forms. Though he learned this well, his teachers
disapproved of his preference to speed and stealth rather than the
traditional brute strength and intimidation. His father gave him the
twin blades of Konton and Eiyo when he graduated from the academy.
However, a rival family challenged his father to a duel of honor.... and
won. Yahan was shocked when he learned this, he had been raised to believe
that all honorable Krranshi would be victorious or die in a glorious
battle, and to him an honor duel was not full of glory. Though he still had a promising career as a soldier, Yahan quit the
military. His explanation was 'I have lost faith in the honor of the
Krranshi.' This explanation shocked his fellows and he was written off as a
heretic. When it was learned he became an assassin and sword for hirem, he
was branded the even more dishonorable title of Drra'Nashii, the worst
shame a Krranshi can receive next to being labeled a complete traitor.
He came to Senkyou to leave his past behind and begin anew as a mercenary,
a Genkin.
